COMMITTED TO OCEAN CONSERVATION: Non-Ecotoxic Formulas For Marine Biodiversity

Beyond a rigorous selection of non-controversial ingredients, our formulas are subjected to multiple ecotoxicity tests by specialized, independent laboratories.
To provide the strongest possible guarantees for our planet, it seemed crucial to assess the impact of our Suncare on aquatic ecosystems scientifically. We evaluated their biodegradability¹ and carried out freshwater (for lakes and rivers) and saltwater (for marine environments) ecotoxicity studies using extreme conditions². Indeed, our products also end up in the water of your shower.
To get a realistic overview, as close as possible to reality, our studies used an impressive number of different species, evaluating effects on no less than seven planktonic and sedimentary organisms from both fresh- and saltwater, different trophic levels, and representative of various aquatic food chains.

THE POWER OF ALGAE IN SUNCARE: the Strength of Red Algae

ALGA-GORRIA®

Official name: Gelidium sesquipedale (Red algae)

Harvest: Gelidium is harvested from the Bay of Biscay in the natural environment off the beaches of the Basque Coast (from Biarritz to Hendaye).

The swell causes the algae to break apart and enables their harvest by a specialized fleet. 
Gelidium fragments are also harvested along shorelines when the wind and currents push them ashore.

Official harvest period: September 15 to May 31
