Dry Oil and Wet Oils, What’s the Difference?
The fatty acid composition of the oil will partly define if it will be dry or wet. The more polyunsaturated fatty acids in the oil, the higher its affinity with the skin. Thus it will be absorbed faster by the skin and have less of a greasy feel. In this way, our Dry Oil is made up essentially of Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, which are perfect for ensuring proper hydration as well as an anti-aging effect. After application, the skin is moisturized but not shiny and does not feel sticky. Wet Oils, on the other hand, are made up principally of Omega 9 with antioxidant properties. They penetrate less into the epidermis. Their thicker textures help them act as a protective shield while maintaining sufficient moisturization at the surface of the skin. Both types of oils have different and interesting properties. But for the 2 (or more) in 1 aspect, the Dry Oil is ideal.
What Skin Types is Dry Oil For?
The good news is that, contrary to normal oils, dry oils are good for all skin types. Whether you have, normal, dry, combination, or even sensitive skin, it can be used daily and at all ages. The main thing is to look for a product with a 100% natural composition. Indeed, as dry oils soak into the epidermis it is preferable to have the safest possible formula. When applying, no need to use too much. Its dry feel can give you the impression that it does not sufficiently moisturize. In reality, it is always strong enough.
The Multiple Uses for a Dry Oil
This type of skincare has everything it needs to be your favorite, using it is so easy and effective. Face, body, or hair… It works on it all! It can be applied directly to the skin, with the help of a gentle massaging motion to stimulate microcirculation. Does your face and/or body skincare lack comfort? Add a few drops of your dry oil to it and you will get an added touch of hydration. Or why not use it like a serum, first put a few drops on your face, massage, then apply your normal skincare. For the hair, take care of it during the summer, but also year-round by spraying a few drops on the tips. A dry oil can also be used as a mask over the length of the hair to reinvigorate the fibers at depth.
